I can't sleep...

so here is a bib that I made for Rory. I should seriously go to bed.

35 weeks

At midnight tonight I will be 35 weeks pregnant.

I have been so anxious this week, thinking she could come at any moment.

I know my little Rory still has quite a bit of time to cook still, but I feel like she is coming soon.Very soon.

I left work several hours early the other morning after having regular contractions for 2 1/2 hours.

I went to triage at the hospital and received 2 rounds of shots to stop my labor, and discovered I'm 2 cm dilated.

Each day since, I have had increasing crampiness and feel that I am continuing to dilate.

So, when she does decide to come, she will probably come quick.

I keep doing all this cleaning, and  packing, and preparing. Nesting.

She's coming so soon.

Appointment details will come Monday night, if we can cook her just a little longer.

I am so excited and scared to know what it will be like to have 2 children.

Only time will tell:)

The Many Faces of Till the Man

Tillman is just so silly these days. He makes the most pitifully, hilarious faces all within seconds of each other. Here are some shots I was fortunate to capture during breakfast the other day. He is seriously crazy.

hey momma. what's that black thing you have?

i want to hold it.

i want to hold it right now.

why are you turning sideways momma?

okay , now I'm bored with that thing, more goldfish.

cheese. Or please? not sure. more goldfish momma.

are you gonna stop taking pictures and get me some more goldfish?

More. More.

Mimi, momma isn't getting me more goldfish.

you are so mean momma, quit taking pictures and get me goldfish.

i want goldfish right now.

fish. fish. more. more. you are so mean.

what is that black thing? can i hold it?

alright, now i'm just getting tired.

fish. more. fish. more.

you really are mean momma.

if i can't have more fish just put me down for a nap please.

Custom Burp Cloths

I have tried very hard to accumulate things along my pregnancy for our little girl. This includes burp cloths. Most things I have bought anywhere from clothes, blankets, bibs, etc... have been from second hand stores. Burp cloths and bibs are very hard to come by even at second hand or consignment.

So, with a little inspiration from my wonderful sewing sister, I have purchased fabric and have begun making my own custom burp cloths. LOVE THEM! Sure they are just going to get spit up and puke and who knows what all over them, but atleast they will be cute underneath all of that, lol:) Here's a peak at them.

I purchased these diapers at Mama's Hip in Louisville, KY (Indian pre-fold 6 for $12.50). The fabrics are from Hancock's Fabrics.

33 weeks 4 days

Well here we are. 33 weeks and 4 days preggers with the little Rory girl. We are getting so close. Sometimes I get so anxious and really just want her to be here so badly, like right now. But, then, I think oh my goodness, what if this is the last time I'm pregnant? I need to savor every lasting second of this pregnancy, right?

When we had Tillman I thought I wanted to have four children. Now that I am expecting our second, I am starting to think I'm not so sure. We will gladly and thankfully take every child that God gives to us, don't get me wrong, but to think of four now, is SCARY. Am I thinking this way just because I am pregnant right now?lol. It's possible. I'm just going to take it one kiddo at a time for now:)

So today was my 33 1/2 week OB appointment. Somehow along the way I managed to get off schedule and my appointments land in the middle of my weeks instead of right on the day I change weeks, does that make sense? Like my appointment for today was on a Monday, but I am not 34 weeks until this Friday. My weeks fall on Fridays. I just wish that my appointments landed on Friday's. Anyway. So, the appointment went fine and we are hoping that Rory cooks for atleast 2 more weeks at my next appointment at 35 1/2 weeks. At that point I will begin seeing the OB EVERY week. That's when you know you are close! Really close.

Here are my stats for 33 weeks and 4 days preggo:
blood pressure: 140 something/ 70 something (ha) (very high for me)
Total weight gain: 15 pounds (2lb gain from last appointment 2 weeks ago)
Babys heart rate: 150's
Babys measurments: exactly 33 cm (which is measuring right on schedule)

And after all of this information was obtained, she said any questions?? I'll see you in 2 weeks. lol. OB appointments are like so stinking expensive and so short.

I've been having lot's of Braxton Hicks contractions over the past few weeks that have been annoying and scaring me a little. I had so many trips to Labor and Delivery for false alarm with Tillman that I am trying my hardest not to let that happen again with this one.

My guess is that Rory will arrive mid to late February and I am so excited to meet her and I can't wait for everyone else to meet her either! I'll post another baby post in 2 weeks.

Until then...

Happy New Year!!

I brought in the New Year at work with my little Rory girl. I was sad that I didn't get to spend it with Matt and Tilly, but thankfully I had Rory with me.

So many times I am at work and miss Tillman and Matt, and I often forget that I have another member of my family with me all the time. Rory. She helps me make it through long shifts. It won't be long and I won't be able to take her to work with me anymore.

Most nights that I get to work, I have about 10-15 minutes before I have to go inside and clock in. So I sit in the car for a bit. It's then that I silence my cell phone, check my email and then go through my pics in my phone. I see pics of Tilly, Matt, my nieces and nephews, and my little Rory. These bring a smile to my face before starting my shift. It's funny how this has become my routine before going into work.

Here is a pic of Rory that I love to look at often. Its a picture of my sonogram at 20 weeks. My little work buddy:) We had a great New Years Eve together.

Happy New Year everyone!
